The ionz149 is a loving creature but if you try and stick your finger in my ass I will bite you. Today will be a day of drinking, smoking and generally anything that is bad for my health. We will be having a BBQ at my mother’s house as she has a real back yard with a real BBQ (I have a side patio and a sad little charcoal grill).
Hah! New shirts from Actual Pain are pretty ill this time around. If I could I would… shirt prices are a bit on the steep at $40 a pop. I’m actually torn as too which one I would choose if I had to choose one of the 80’s style animal face prints. The wolf is rad and I think his face gore is way better than the tiger. The tiger while lacking higher levels of face gore makes up for it by being A.) a white tiger and B.) there is way more blood, I mean his eyes are bleeding. So I give em both a little love. The only way you could make these shirts any would be if you cut the sleeves off immediatley upon purchasing.
This weekend wasn’t so bad. I drank, painted, sanded and ate two vietnamese sandwiches (so good!).
Just got a spontaneous day off because the power company is working on the block the place I work is on. Always nice to have a day off, lame to not get paid one day of the week.
Might head over to my local bike shop and figure out what size bike I need. I also need to go Home Depot to pick up some randoms.
June is the worst I swear… miss my old man like crazy. Today marks two years since his departure. It’s been lame really. Be sure to smoke your finest snappers or sip from your favorite bottle today if you get a chance, tip your 40 to the ground.

Um… greatness of all sorts, where the hell has this been all this time? My boss found it at work since our ie6 computer was taking a dive every time we fired up the virtual pc. Now you can look at internet explorer murder your code on all three versions of it current ugly self. The above link actually provides you with internet explorer all the way back to ie1 (why?)
Brixton always brings the heat sauce. I figured since summer is on it’s way I should get me a hat made of straw, something that can breathe. If you have ever had the pleasure of wearing a brixton stroll in the heat you know you won’t be doing it again soon.
After all things were considered I went ahead and picked up the drifter (runner up the castro) It’s an odd hat, for that reason alone it is my summer hat for 2009.
It’s odd because from the front it looks like I have a big halo floating around my head. From the side it looks like a fedora. Also there are no dips/indents on the bucket part (?) need to brush up on my hat anatomy. The hat has a low profile so no matter how hard you shove it on your head it will always look like it’s sitting on top of your head.
During the process of grabbing a hat stumbled upon a few shirts too. One being a brixton shirt, the other two being shirts by some sunglasses company called sabre. The sabre shirts are so cool I couldn’t find pictures of them online and I’m a lazy turd so you know I ain’t snappin none.
It’s a few weeks overdue but this showed up at my doorstep a little while ago and I couldn’t have been more stoked. What we have here is a Paul Kaiju x Zollmen Zudon collab. This is guy resembles a football only he is cuddly and wants hugs and will roll his eye at you. On the hyper critical side of things I found the paint to be a teenie weensie bit heavy handed (Paul is human and did paint them all himself so this is fine), but he is otherwise the piff. He has glitter lining his insides too. Hat’s off to Mr. Kaiju for providing me with yet another badass figure I don’t own any of in the wild and crazy colors that is the PK style. Not to mention this has been the first toy I’ve purchased in months!
As a scum bag I was pretty stoked to see a chain wallet available from the boys over at Mishka NYC. I was sort of torn though because it was made of nylon instead of leather but was won over by the Keep Watch button. Upon arrival I was somewhat disappointed when I couldn’t fit one drivers license, five credit cards and my lucky dollar bills without the wallet becoming a two inch brick in my back pocket. Not to mention there is two buttons that hold the wallet shut right on top of the credit card slots so I assume after a while of sitting on my wallet the buttons would begin to press on the cards (not cool)
So I decided to alter it a bit and add my ugly bill fold into the mix since it’s functional and holds all the random shit I keep in my wallet. I had to modify it slightly by adding some eyelets so the chain clip had a way to clip to my bill fold. Easily accomplished with a few bucks at the local Michael’s
Above is how it came with it’s cool guy wallet. For the dood who only keeps an ID card, a credit card and 3 hundo slices when he goes out. Unfortunatley for me I am not too cool and carry around an australian 20, a 2 dollar bill and a little st michael’s prayer card in spanish (? a good friend gave it to me to ward off unnecessary evils) amongst that there are oodles of credit and debit card reciepts waiting to be accounted for in my check book (yeah I stay on top of my check book like it’s 1929) Here’s my wallet
Haven’t really been into toys much due to financial constraints but I recently saw this guy online and thought he looked bad ass. It’s a Real x Head mini figure, the character is Thunder Lagoon. The black rub on green is pretty sick and he just a mean lookin little scaly dude.
Blind Lemon Jefferson is pretty much the first black dude to get paid for making awesome music in the 20’s. He was indeed blind and belted out the blues like nothing anybody had heard at the time. Blind Lemon did pretty good for himself, surely not as good as his record label but somethings never change. Another famous Blind Lemon tune is Black Snake Moan but I chose this song because I would like my loved ones to see that my grave is kept clean. Don’t forget about me when I die dammit! And please don’t let the weeds grow all crazy around it.
I love the way he just has a string holding his guitar up rather than an actual strap. The music is raw, the sounds of bad lighting and thin coats of dirt and grime on a chair in a dingy barn with the door slightly ajar. I can see myself walking up to it and seeing a little bit of the bad lighting escaping the door and with it the sound of the Blind Lemon blues and as I start to take it all in some grown person says “bow you’s butta git beck inside nah!”
I stumbled upon this looking for something different but I found it to be a very interesting (and useful) approach to dealing with the notoriously useless internet explorer browser. This eliminates having to use conditional statements and style sheets just for specific browsers (dreamy). It seems almost too good to be true. The downside of it being your css won’t validate… sometimes I care sometimes I don’t, I dunno. It’s pure genius! Who would’ve known all it takes is a * and an _ in your css!?!?
