So really it came between Kaws and Mishka this time around and I am happy to say that Mishka won. The Loveless Flannel in Magenta* from Mishka’s Fall 1 installment has a nice tight fit and the colors pop like a muhfug. It is very well put together and all the stitches on it are perfect (I looked at every single one!). Thanks to the kind folks at un|steady for the nice price.

As a scum bag I was pretty stoked to see a chain wallet available from the boys over at Mishka NYC. I was sort of torn though because it was made of nylon instead of leather but was won over by the Keep Watch button. Upon arrival I was somewhat disappointed when I couldn’t fit one drivers license, five credit cards and my lucky dollar bills without the wallet becoming a two inch brick in my back pocket. Not to mention there is two buttons that hold the wallet shut right on top of the credit card slots so I assume after a while of sitting on my wallet the buttons would begin to press on the cards (not cool)
So I decided to alter it a bit and add my ugly bill fold into the mix since it’s functional and holds all the random shit I keep in my wallet. I had to modify it slightly by adding some eyelets so the chain clip had a way to clip to my bill fold. Easily accomplished with a few bucks at the local Michael’s
Above is how it came with it’s cool guy wallet. For the dood who only keeps an ID card, a credit card and 3 hundo slices when he goes out. Unfortunatley for me I am not too cool and carry around an australian 20, a 2 dollar bill and a little st michael’s prayer card in spanish (? a good friend gave it to me to ward off unnecessary evils) amongst that there are oodles of credit and debit card reciepts waiting to be accounted for in my check book (yeah I stay on top of my check book like it’s 1929) Here’s my wallet
So I’m feeling good today. Just took advantage of a Mishka 25% off sale, about to go get 40% off at the levi’s store and I still can’t decide whether I’m to get my acoustic guitar repaired or if I’m going to buy a cheap-o uke. I also have a package at my moms pad which I believe might be a zudon from the evil genius Paul Kaiju.
And I’m feeling so I will leave you with this gem to remind you of how good you got it.

Being poor blows, I mean I been poor my whole life but there’s decent times and there’s bad times… these are the bad. Were I not so broke I wouldn’t even think twice about buying this little guy. To be honest he ain’t even my favorite of the bros I am more of a Standing Hedoran type of guy but I would still do it. I refer to this Hedoran as the hugger because he looks like he’s super stoked to see you and is all like “yaaaaaay! Lemme get a hug!” Seafoam and magenta colorway is the business.
Mishka, they got some goods for spring 09. I was looking forward to the lamour collab in full color but it does not appear to be available yet(?) I found these two items to be particularly awesome. First item is a keep watch shirt in a nice blue, that shit just pops real proper like. The second is a bad ass belt, it is quite pricey but a must have because it looks like my website.
So in the recent weeks I have somewhat re-gained my standard of living but my old lady has no job so I still have no spending money but I still do have the urge to spend money. So like hunting for toys I hold on as long as I can with my fist clenched tightly around a small undisclosed amount. When I find a deal that is just too good “I strike like deadly python” (in thick russian accent)
So here are two deals that had me sweating. First is swell.com, they’re offering 22% off with the promo code: TWITTER22. Obviously 22% off is no big whoop but I’ve been stalking a flannel on their site for a few weeks now and last week it was 16% off so I figured might as well jump on it.

Second one I’m fighting is Mishka‘s 75% off 2008 goods. They are clearing out the old to make room for the new and there are some deals to be had as well (assuming you slept on all the hot shit while it was still hot). My main focus will be these tacky snow washed jeans. They are usually $149 but are on for $37 and some change!!! Now that means one of two things either everybody slept (unlikely as the black ones sold okay) or these are really ugly in person. And while part of me wants to own $149 jeans the other part of me wants them to look awesome and worth every penny. These look so 80′s it kind of surpasses that trend-o surface level 80′s jock-age and heads into real life 80′s snow washed-ness. But for 40 clams I don’t think you could go too wrong, if anything cut em up and make them your “work” shorts for painting or hiking or whatever you goons do on your free time.
