So last weekend I had the joy of moving from my old apartment (#6) to a new one across the courtyard (#5) and while moving sucks fat elephant balls it was a really good chance to give my toys the one on one dusting they have deserved for well over 3 years. The end result being a few alright photos of a decent pile of kaiju. The actual pile is about 2.5 laundry baskets worth of toys.
I still lurk around toy forums and stuff. From time to time I see some toys that make me wanna break bread.
These particular ones are Real Head minis. I have a few Real Head regular sized figures that I like so it’s really been a matter of time till something I really, really like came out. Maybe two years ago or so Real Head took off and started making many, many more sculpts. Creating good guys and bad guys, giant sizes, cats, minis, super minis. They just expanded and just began dropping way too much shit for me to even bother trying to keep up with. It also in turn made any of the original Real Head figures before this growth spurt worth quite a bit of coin.
Anywhoo these figures are sweet and I want them. They look kinda evil except for the last one which I just like because it looks odd.
Man I aint seen a toy I would punch a child in the head for in a while. The Thriller toys are a tribute to Mr. Jackson and his most awesome video. If it wasn’t for the ridiculous price of $100 per figure I would be all over these f*ckin’ things. The whole concept just works really well with the big heads and everything. A compilation of shit I’d love to own snagged from various places
It’s a few weeks overdue but this showed up at my doorstep a little while ago and I couldn’t have been more stoked. What we have here is a Paul Kaiju x Zollmen Zudon collab. This is guy resembles a football only he is cuddly and wants hugs and will roll his eye at you. On the hyper critical side of things I found the paint to be a teenie weensie bit heavy handed (Paul is human and did paint them all himself so this is fine), but he is otherwise the piff. He has glitter lining his insides too. Hat’s off to Mr. Kaiju for providing me with yet another badass figure I don’t own any of in the wild and crazy colors that is the PK style. Not to mention this has been the first toy I’ve purchased in months!
So I open my inbox and all I can do is sit a little pissed off at my screen and say doooooooooooood. It was a pre-order for this absurd vinyl madness (Shikaruna Dorol) that I wish I could afford (Damn you Xty!!..j/k..seriously tho…hhaha..no) I’ve seen em around on the message boards and stuff but I haven’t even been lurking that much so I’m some what out of the loop.
